Controller Global Strategic Marketing - Market Reach Performance Management
What does the role involve?
As a Controller for Global Strategic Marketing, you will proactively manage the budget planning & forecasting for various teams within our Global Strategic Marketing department in collaboration with the Strategic Marketing Leadership Team. Part of the day-to-day activities is to manage the controlling & reporting tasks such as cost accounting, allocations & accruals leveraging the latest state-of-the-art ERP & reporting technologies such as SAP S/4HANA & SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
Additionally, you will manage the investment governance around, for example, across our MR Competence Centers across the globe, Digital Marketing entities in Paris and Plano (US), as well as support contracting & negotiations for major projects with multiple stakeholders (Department head, MR Competence Center heads, Legal, Procurement & Global IT). Moreover, you will act as a true business partner by living, driving and supporting various Performance Management projects with senior management exposure.
With an entrepreneurial mindset, you will challenge the status quo, play a key role in driving investment prioritization & support in defining tangible business targets for the respective Global Strategic Marketing departments. You will recognize opportunities with financial impact across the department and propose options to exploit further and assess initiatives with an end to end view.
What you need is:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a financial, consultancy or auditing role within a multinational organization
Demonstrated knowledge in Accounting, Controlling, Reporting or Financial Advisory
Effective communication skills, including ability to structure clear presentations to senior management
Project management skills and independent working style with "getting things done" mindset
Proficient English written and verbal communication is essential
The ability to simplify a financial message to non-finance stakeholders
Strong business planning, financial planning (forecasting/budgeting) and analysis skills
Experience in financial planning, modelling and analysis and reporting software preferred (e.g. Excel, PowerBI, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP R3 or S/4HANA)
