About the role:
As Sales Manager you drive the On-Trade Channel account strategy and customer plans for the regions of Bern, Solothurn, Luzern incl. ski resorts Zermatt, Saas Fee & Grindelwald as well as maximize sustainable profit delivery and market share growth. You manage your performance in the sales area and deliver against agreed performance measures to ensure flawless execution of the full portfolio RTC plan, 365 essentials and achieve targets in the relevant On-Trade outlets - Bars, Clubs & Restaurants all while ensuring brilliant customer service each time, at every touchpoint. Diageo's world class ways of selling capabilities are deployed at every customer interaction.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Managing all related administration through accurate reporting in our CRM systems to ensure effective route planning, visit’s reports, stock of material and free goods, etc.
Maximizing existing customer output. Sell-out (pull), brilliant execution and quality focus will be at the core of everything that we do.
Providing information flow from the field (brands, performance, competition activities, consumer tendencies, etc.) to Head of On Trade and relevant departments (Marketing, KAM On Trade).
Identifying growth opportunities and executing those at a tactical and strategic level balancing options and choices.
Role modelling of rigor and compliance (M&E, contracts, budgets) and proactively preventing products from being sold below the age of 18, to live and promote Diageo Marketing conduct at all time
Knowledge of the Swiss On Trade Market ideally for the dedicated regions, its dynamics, and trends
Comfort with dealing with ambiguity, complexity and working within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and matrixed environment
Independent working style, solution-oriented approach and able to make decisions
Excellent negotiation skills paired with an engaging style of communication
Passion for our portfolio of brands
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence across functions, develop & leverage relationships, which can be amplified with key consumer & trade
Ideally in depth understanding of competitors, distributors & key customers: their businesses and their consumers/drinkers.
Fluent in English & German. French languages skills would be advantageous
