Context & mission
MSF is a non-profit, international, independent, medical-humanitarian organization providing assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, natural disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. MSF’s teams are made up of health professionals, logisticians and administrative personnel, guided by medical ethics and the principles of impartiality, independence and neutrality. MSF was founded in 1971 in Paris by a group of journalists and doctors. Today, it is a worldwide movement of more than 60,000 people, including staff in headquarters and in the field.
MSF Switzerland was created in 1981 and it is headquartered in Geneva.
The Philanthropy Diversification Lead drives the development, implementation, and promotion of philanthropic initiatives that expand and diversify MSF Switzerland’s income sources. Focusing on Blockchain Giving and Islamic Philanthropy, the role is accountable for generating new streams of donations by developing effective fundraising initiatives and cultivating long-term donor and partner relationships.
Building on recent investments and successful initiatives such as Stake2Care, Art4Care, and the Zakat Fund, the position leads the promotion and growth of these offers, identifies new opportunities, and develops strategic collaborations that harness both emerging and established giving models for humanitarian action.
