Provide Senior BU Commercial Management for various Regions and across different indications with measurable insights into commercial strategies and tactics derived through strategic data analysis and promotional response measurement.
The Deputy Director, Advanced Analytics, is an experienced
team member, responsible for key aspects along the data
modelling cycle: From definition of business questions and
hypotheses, to data sourcing and preparation, model
development, and insight generation. Output of these analyses
will be the basis for strategic resource allocation by BU and
Marketing leadership. The individual is expected to collaborate
closely, advise, and support Commercial Analytics & Insights
team management and Business Unit leadership in various types
of advanced quantitative analyses, including forecasting, conjoint
analysis, regression analysis, promotion optimization models,
etc. Incumbent also needs to manage onshore and offshore
resources, as well as in house and external consultants.
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide Senior
Commercial Management with measurable insights into
commercial strategies and tactics for key products in key
markets. These insights will provide a competitive
advantage to management by making better business decisions
derived through strategic data analysis and command of complex
Development of analytical programs, including business question
development, hypothesis generation, and scoping (timelines,
work effort estimation, resourcing, etc.)
Data sourcing, preparation, integration and quality control
responsibilities; Alignment on market definitions
Working collaboratively with internal business partners to provide
marketing program business case evaluation, KPIs and
appropriate measurement (e.g. ROI analysis).
Creation of analytical models and data visualization, e.g., related
to promotional response, marketing mix, sales force
effectiveness, rebate analyses and synthesis of critical insights
from these models and visualizations
Development and evaluation of global commercial experiments ¨
and pilots (Digital, data mining, etc.), including KPIs to determine
Demonstrating thought leadership and content expertise in
advanced analytics to business partners and major markets,
including development of key training programs.
Directing third parties retained to support analytics, research,
and consulting efforts, such as onshore and offshore resources.
