Omya Consumer and Environmental Solutions (CES) is the Omya business segment dedicated to all Omya business activities in Consumer Goods, Agriculture and Environmental applications.
Omya CES is looking for a Technical Service Manager Drinking Water, mainly dedicated to the development of its environmental business in Drinking and Process Water Treatment.
The CES Technical Services Water Team supports the technical implementation of our differentiating solutions at Omya customer sites through consulting and trials. Main objective is to support sales development through technical projects with various industrial and municipal facilities.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain technical expertise linked to our products and associated applications.
Plan, prioritize, and implement customer technical support and consulting services.
Work with customers, R&D and engineering teams to evaluate the performance of new products or applications.
Coordinate technical projects together with our customers or distribution partners, to switch to Omya technology and thereby improve overall customer process performance, safety and sustainability aspects.
Plan, prepare, implement and evaluate pilot or full-scale demonstration trials together with Omya customers.
Develop customer and key account relationships with key production and technical personnel.
Work closely with our sales department to grow our business and achieve our overall business targets.
Participate in fairs and conferences, to improve visibility of our technology portfolio.
Requiremtents
Education and practical experience:
Degree in a related technical field (e.g. process/industrial/chemical/mechanical engineering, chemistry, life sciences), or technical apprenticeship with 3+ years of practical experience.
3+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally in desalination, process water, drinking water treatment.
A profound understanding of water chemistry and water treatment processes is mandatory.
Proven work experience in the desalination industry is highly beneficial.
Furthermore, the candidate should provide:
A pragmatic, solution-oriented, and hands-on mindset with a drive to deliver success while meeting quality and safety expectations.
Project management skills with a proven track record of successful execution of complex projects.
Customer focus, profound presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate in project teams of diverse cultural and professional background in a dynamic environment.
Proficiency in English (both written and oral) is required, good command of both oral and written Arabic is highly beneficial. Additional languages (French, German) are a plus.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% (predominantly in Middle East, Europe)
Location in Switzerland at Omya HQ in Oftringen is preferred.
