At AGCS our Account Technicians support the business by capturing and processing policy information; from submissions through to billing and collection. We deliver excellent customer service and operational effectiveness to our clients.
Reporting to the Team Lead of the SOE-Team your primary responsibility will be to provide an efficient administrative processing service to Underwriting, Claims, Credit Control and our Brokers/Clients. Your responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting source Underwriting materials to ensure all information is complete including broker presentations, slips, Underwriting files and accounts. Your main focus will be on Marine business.
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will…
- Be responsible for accounts of low to medium complexity
- Coordinate with Underwriting to address questions and issues regarding cover and wording. Authorization in line with assigned limits
- Use relevant information to accurately and efficiently populate IT system(s) with new and renewed business. Prepare regular reports
- Invoice customers and produce all relevant documentation, e.g. policies, certificates, endorsements to the Broker (or Client)/ Co-Insurers in a timely and accurate manner
- Develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers, including Underwriting, Accounts / Credit Control, Reinsurance Accounts and Brokers, attending relevant meetings, as required
- Monitor maintenance and follow-up of all accounts, according to the respective level of responsibility and escalate any issues as required
- Carry out risk checks according to the compliance procedure
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
- You have ideally completed a recognized insurance qualification
- You have 2 – 3 years’ experience of policy administration in the insurance sector
- You have 1 – 2 years’ administrative experience in a Corporate environment
- Experience in working in an international environment
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Data-driven and innovation-minded, you are able to implement new digital ways of working
- Experience with Insurance front-office systems appreciated
- You have an understanding of relevant products, wordings, terms and conditions and the policy administration life cycle
- You pay attention to detail
- You work well in a team and remain calm under pressure
- Fluent in German and English
