Kanadevia Inova (KVI) is transforming the renewable gas sector through innovative Asset Management. We are seeking a Legal Director to lead the legal strategy for our asset portfolio, ensuring seamless project execution and regulatory compliance.
In this role, you will:
Provide legal advice to the executive team on various Asset Management operations and projects.
Offer legal support across all stages of investment-led and engineering-led projects, from development to handover.
Assist in structuring joint ventures, drafting and negotiating key project agreements, and advising on regulatory matters.
Work with Asset Management teams to ensure legal compliance, risk mitigation, and alignment with project goals.
Manage disputes, liaise with external counsel, and implement legal policies to protect KVI's interests.
Qualifications- Law degree (JD, LLB or equivalent). Admission to practice in the UK or a EU jurisdiction a plus
- 8+ years PQE, with significant in-house or top-tier law firm experience in plant projects delivery, operation and management (waste to energy, power, oil & gas infrastructure, or utilities)
- Proven ability to manage complex investment transactions and legal risk in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in business English, working level knowledge of German or other languages a plus
- Other: Proven expertise in drafting high-quality legal documents, strong leadership and negotiation skills, deep understanding of regulatory regimes and multi-jurisdictional infrastructure investments, with a solutions-oriented, assertive, and detail-focused approach
