About the customer:
For an innovative, technology-driven organization operating in a highly advanced embedded software and R&D environment, we are looking for a Senior Embedded Verification Lead with strong hands-on expertise in TCP/IP and system-level testing.
This role combines deep technical involvement in embedded system verification with responsibility for test strategy, planning, and quality assurance. You will work closely with development, engineering, and verification teams in a collaborative and technically demanding environment.
Requirements:
You are a technically strong embedded systems professional who combines hands-on verification experience with the ability to take ownership of test processes and quality.
You bring:
- Several years of experience in embedded software testing, system testing, or verification, ideally in an industrial, medical, or automation environment
- Strong practical experience with TCP/IP-based communication, including troubleshooting and analysis on system or protocol level
- Experience in integration and verification of complex systems involving embedded software, electronics, and hardware components
- A structured, independent working style with a strong focus on quality and reliability
- The ability to communicate effectively with engineers, developers, and project stakeholders
- Experience working in agile or iterative development environments
Technical background (key focus areas)
- Embedded software and system-level testing
- TCP/IP and Ethernet-based communication
- API testing (REST; experience with Redfish is a plus)
- Secure boot and secure firmware update testing
- Network and communication testing (e.g. stability, performance, error scenarios)
- Hardware-near testing such as actuator, device, or PCB-related verification
- Test management and documentation tools (e.g. Jira, Zephyr, Confluence, Codebeamer)
Education & certifications
- Degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a comparable technical field
- ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager is an advantage but not mandatory
Languages
- German: negotiation level
- English: very good conversational level
Why this role is different
This is not a pure coordination or automation role.
You will work close to the system, close to the hardware, and close to engineering, combining hands-on verification with ownership of quality and testing strategy.
