Manager QC Chemistry & Biochemistry (f/m/d)
Main responsibilities
- Responsible for managing testing activities in the QC Chemistry and Biochemistry team to deliver correct results on time in full under cGMP.
- Manages a team of 6 analysts to achieve the defined goals.
- Accountable for inspection readiness of his/her organization
- Major methods are physical-chemical tests, wet chemistry tests, spectroscopic tests, chromatography, ELISA and endotoxin testing.
- Establishing, maintaining and improving a balanced sample flow process to ensure on-time delivery
- Establishing, maintaining and improving a service catalogue with predefined turn-around times and standard costs agreed with the customer
- Ensures a timely and cost-effective testing of samples at required cGMP level
- Implementing a KPI system to measure and improve lab performance towards the defined service elements and compliance requirements
- Weekly planning of lab workload and analyst work planning.
- Establishing and maintaining a skill matrix to ensure availability sufficient resources to cover the workload.
- Ensures development and support of employees incl performance management
Our expectations
- University degree in natural science (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or comparable)
- At least 7-10 years QC Lab experience in the sector of biotechnology under cGMP
- Expert knowledge of international QC related cGMP requirements
- Proven Leadership experience of at least 3 to 5 years
- Experienced in Health Authority Inspections
- High-level motivation on managing a lab autonomously and a strong focus on deliverables and people engagement.
- Multilingual - at least German and English, written and spoken
