Head of Site, Operations, Villeret (f/m)

Our Villeret manufacturing facility employs more than 500 talented and
committed employees and produces more than 10 million high precision medical
devices each year for global distribution. The state of the art site
encompasses Production, Engineering (including Product Development), Quality
Assurance, Human Resources, Procurement & Logistics, Finance, IT, Facility
Management, and Projects/Continuous Improvement.

The site is currently undergoing a phase of significant expansion and has
ambitious plans to substantially increase production and strengthen its product
portfolio over the medium to long term. Technical innovation is at the heart of
these developments.

The successful candidate will lead all activities at the site. Collaborating
with other functions and site leaders across the Group, the candidate will
continuously review the strategic objectives for the site in the context of
Group Global Operations. He or she will then define and oversee the execution
of annual business plans and major projects. This role is based in Villeret,
Switzerland and reports to the Head of Research, Development & Operations.

Lead an experienced management team. Set example as a coach. Invest in the

Continuously review and update strategy and translate it into operating plans
and execute them
Deliver best in class customer service levels and productivity improvements,
whilst maintaining or improving safety and environmental performance, and with
no compromise to regulations governing the manufacture of medical devices
Use best practice methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma to continuously
improve plant and overall supply chain performance
Oversee the execution on time and budget of major projects relating to (for
example) capacity expansion, product development and cost improvement
Assure the rigorous application of Straumann Groups Global Quality Management
System. Oversee the implementation of processes and procedures to guarantee
conformity to international standards and directives relating to the
manufacture of medical devices
Proactively collaborate with supply chain partners in order to anticipate and
manage supply chain risks A first class communicator who is able to win the trust and confidence of
employees at all levels, across functions and sites
Possess the leadership qualities to develop and maintain a vision, manage
through different business cycles, provide direction and shape a team committed
to one plan
