The MSF movement is built around 5 operational centers supported by 24 sections and offices worldwide. MSF Operational Center Geneva (MSF OCG) is one of these centers.
Are you passionate about turning data into actionable insights? At MSF Switzerland, we're looking for a Data Business Analyst & Power BI Specialist to play a key role in shaping our self-service data platform and enterprise reporting.
In this role, you’ll wear two hats. First, as a Business Analyst, you’ll work closely with different departments to understand their reporting needs, listening, analyzing, and documenting requirements to ensure we’re solving the right problems. Then, you’ll switch gears and become our Power BI expert, building intuitive reports, clean datasets, and powerful semantic models using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
You won’t be working in isolation. You’ll be a vital part of a cross-functional project team alongside our Data Architect, Data Engineers, and key stakeholders, you will be part of the BRIDGE (Bringing Resources & Intelligence for Dynamic Global Engagement) project team, integrated to the DIP (Data, Innovation and Project) section, which is part of the DSI (Direction of the Systems of Information).
You’ll help make sure everything we build aligns with both business goals and our data governance standards, thus influencing the adoption of the new dashboards.

Fixed-term contract for 12 months, with potential for renewal based on evolving project requirements.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Business Needs Collection: Collect, analyze, and structure reporting needs across departments and domains.
Requirements Documentation: Translate business requirements into documented reporting specifications and data needs.
Request Prioritization: Prioritize and organize reporting requests and ensure traceability from request to solution.
Governed Reporting Design: Participate in the design and evolution of a governed reporting environment using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
Report & Dashboard Implementation: Build and deploy interactive, user-friendly reports and dashboards tailored to business objectives.
Certified Dataset Development: Develop and maintain certified, reusable datasets aligned with enterprise data standards.
Content Documentation: Document reporting content, usage guidelines, and data logic to ensure transparency and consistency.
User Support & Training: Actively contribute to user onboarding, training, and support for self-service data tools.
Your profile
Education
Tertiary degree, university degree, or equivalent in data analytics, information systems, business intelligence, or a related field
Certifications in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or related tools are an asset
Experience
You have at least 4 years of experience in roles that blend business analysis with data-focused project delivery.
You’re confident translating complex business questions into clear, impactful reporting solutions.
You’ve had hands-on involvement in BI development—building datasets and contributing to dashboards.

Business Analysis:
Gather and structure reporting requirements from multiple business domains
Translate operational and analytical needs into functional specifications
Ensure alignment between business needs and existing data capabilities
Power BI & Data Platform:
Build and maintain interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations
Design and manage reusable datasets and semantic models in Power BI and support data quality
Leverage Microsoft Fabric, Pw BI platform for modelling, orchestration, and platform integration
Governance, Documentation, and Enablement:
Align reporting solutions with enterprise data governance and architecture
Document all deliverables (datasets, visuals, business rules, KPIs, usage)
Contribute to user onboarding, training sessions, and guidance material
Ensure consistency and clarity in metrics and data definitions across reports
Collaboration & Contribution:
Work as part of a broader data project team, supporting implementation milestones
Collaborate with the Data Architect, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders
Support cross-functional testing, feedback cycles, and continuous improvement
Terms of employment
Full-time position 100% (40h/week)
Fixed-term contract, 12 months
Working place: Geneva, Switzerland
Ideal start date: 15th of September 2025
Gross annual salary (for 100%): from CHF 94’440.- to CHF 108’348.- (salary commensurate with equivalent experience and internal salary grid)
Paid vacation: 25 days per year, prorate temporis, plus any Swiss public holidays falling within the contract period.
Pension plan: pension contribution covered 3/4 by MSF, 1/4 by staff member.
Relocation package if moving from a different country to Switzerland.
