MS Amlin AG was established in 2010. It is incorporated in Switzerland and operates in Zurich with branches in Bermuda, Malaysia and USA. It currently has approximately 65 employees in Switzerland. MS Amlin AG is a wholly-owned reinsurance subsidiary of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company, a division of the MS&AD Group of Japan, the eighth largest non-life insurer in the world.
We are currently looking to recruit a
(full-time position) for our Swiss office in Zurich.
The role will primarily focus on Capital Modelling, however there will be opportunities to assist with reserving exercises.
Playing a key role in the production of Swiss Solvency Test calculations and reporting
Undertaking Internal Model runs as requested including preparation of model inputs and collation of model results to help inform and aid strategic business decisions
Performing technical analysis towards parameterisation of the Internal Model
Supporting the maintenance and development of the Internal Model code and/or any of the surrounding processes.
Supporting the production of quarterly risk reporting.
Communicating all aspects of modelling analysis to a range of stakeholders, with particular emphasis on the links between modelling and the real world risk profile
Collaborate with other functions, on various topics including business planning and underwriting performance
Prepare ad hoc analysis/reporting for FINMA
Prepare ad hoc calculations and reporting for the MS&AD head office
Support quarterly reserving and reporting for MS Amlin AG when required
Educational background in mathematics, natural science or any another quantitative discipline
Numerate and analytical mind-set, good problem solver; strong aptitude for appropriately applying professional judgement
Strong technical and data-handling skills, and ideally some coding experience
Excellent verbal and written skills in English; any other language would be an asset
Good communications skills, team spirit, collaborative attitude, work ethic, proactivity
Ability to work independently and under pressure
