The Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL is a part of the ETH domain. Approximately 500 people work on the sustainable use and protection of the environment and on the handling of natural hazards.
The research unit Forest Dynamics investigates the effects of global change on forest ecosystems. The SwissForestLab is a new initiative between WSL, ETH Zurich and partner institutions to foster interdisciplinary science in Swiss forest ecosystem research (www.wsl.ch/swissforestlab/). You must hold a PhD degree with a strong proven research background in data sciences, data assimilation, model-data fusion and/or forest ecosystem research. Furthermore, you should have strong skills in data analysis and computer modeling, and at the same time should have a deep interest for interdisciplinary research and collaboration in the extended field of forest ecosystem research. Working place will be at ETH Zurich.
