Position summary
The FP&A Analyst supports the budgeting and forecasting processes, business performance reviews and conducts business analyses to support strategic decisionmaking. The analyst is expected to build and maintain a good network with colleagues across various business functions to stay updated on relevant changes and anticipate trends early.
The FP&A analyst reports to the Senior FP&A Manager and it is a 100% onsite and permanent role.
Key responsibilities
- Support and contribute to the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and monthly performance reports at both entity and consolidated group level
- Continuously monitor relevant market developments (including methanol, ammonia, natural gas) to proactively identify business challenges and opportunities and effectively communicate these insights to the appropriate stakeholders
- Analyse financial performance, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to management
- Maintain and enhance financial models and planning tools (such as IBM TM1 or similar) and support other users as required
- Collaborate cross-functionally and across regions with finance teams and business departments to collect, validate, and ensure the consistency of data used in forecasts and analyses
- Work on corporate projects that provide business insights and help identify relevant focus areas
Required Qualifications
- University degree or relevant work experience in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field
- 3 – 5 years of experience in FP&A, controlling, auditing or financial analysis
- Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles (IFRS)
- Strong Excel skills (including Pivot tables, Lookups, Modelling)
- A strong attention to detail, accuracy and effective presentation of data / information
- Strong and effective written and verbal English skills
- Problem solving-skills, used to work within tight deadlines
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and build relationships in other geographies, cultures and diverse teams
