Our client is a well-established international bank in Zurich.
On behalf of our client, Swisslinx is looking for a Corporate Banking Relationship Manager to manage and develop a portfolio of Swiss corporate clients.
This role carries full ownership and responsibility for the Swiss corporate client base at the Branch level. The position is primarily relationship-driven (approximately 70% portfolio management and development) with a strong focus on expanding existing client relationships, complemented by selective new business origination (approximately 30%).
The Corporate Banking team maintains and develops relationships with corporations, supporting them in financing, risk management, working capital, cash management, and investment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for corporate clients, building long-term relationships through a deep understanding of clients' business models, industries, and financial needs.
- Drive strategic client planning and identify high-quality clients and new business opportunities aligned with the bank's risk appetite and growth strategy.
- Increase client wallet share through cross-selling of lending, trade finance, cash management, FX, and other corporate banking products by coordinating with internal product specialists.
- Prepare high-quality client presentations, proposals, and tailored financial solutions.
- Lead credit due diligence and transaction structuring, including detailed financial analysis, risk assessment, and preparation of credit proposals for internal approval committees.
- Lead term sheet negotiations and transaction execution, ensuring commercial competitiveness while maintaining sound risk discipline.
- Coordinate end-to-end transaction execution in close collaboration with internal stakeholders including legal, operations, risk management, and compliance.
- Monitor post-transaction client performance, covenant compliance, AML/KYC obligations, and overall credit quality, assuming full ownership of portfolio performance.
- Deliver on annual revenue and portfolio growth targets, contributing to overall bank profitability through effective relationship management and cross-selling.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years' experience in large corporate banking and/or structured credit.
- Strong analytical skills with solid knowledge of credit risk assessment and structuring.
- Good understanding of the Swiss regulatory environment for corporate banking activities.
- Proven ability to originate and execute complex transactions independently.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and professional integrity.
- Fluency in English and German is essential; French and/or Italian would be an advantage.
- Swiss / EU citizenship or an existing Swiss work permit
