We are looking for a Procurement Manager who will join our team based in Zurich. Today we are covering a wide range of categories starting from Workplace up to Translation Services. With our support and expertise in vendor negotiations, contracts management and process improvements, we help our internal customers to achieve their business targets and maintain the quality standard. In addition, supported by our broker, we are managing and coordinating our global insurance portfolio.
With your support, we want to further develop our capabilities and contribute to Vontobel success journey.
Support Head of Procurement with the development and execution of the sourcing/procurement strategies as well as defining initiatives to reach targets for significant cost reductions and improving service levels
Assess current Procurement processes and find opportunities and efficiency gains
Identify and lead key procurement projects that add value to Vontobel Growth Strategy
Challenge status quo with improvement ideas
Set rules of engagement with divisions and cross-divisional teams
Interact with key stakeholders in identifying business needs, building relationships and selling the features and benefits of early procurement involvement
Maintain and develop close dialogue and excellent relationships with key stakeholders
Manage all purchasing activities for the assigned categories
Perform continuous internal spend- as well as market analysis including benchmark
Lead RfX projects and supplier selections in strategic projects and categories
Set KPIs and SLAs for the assigned categories
Monitor performance of the existing vendors; manage the existing vendor selection, management and performance
Support business and represent procurement interests in different business globally
Train and mentor junior procurement team members
Continuous assessment and development of Procurement tools & capabilities
University degree preferred or equivalent experience; further education in Procurement or Supply Chain desirable
Several years of experience in strategic sourcing/procurement
Solid Category and Vendor management experience
Professional experience in IT Purchasing (HW/SW; Prof.Service) and Travel Management is an advantage
Strong IT skills with profound knowledge of MS Office and SAP/BI
Excellent negotiating skills
Confident demeanor when dealing with internal and external parties
Flair for administration and processes with strong organizational skills; ability to set priorities, and manage tight timescales
German and English business proficiency; additional languages are considered as asset
Solution and result-oriented
Comfortable with preparing and presenting business ideas & decisions to senior management
A communicative and client-oriented personality
Reliable and bring a diligent approach to work
