The UZH.ai Initiative connects AI-related research, teaching, and innovation across UZH. We seek a versatile Communications Specialist to increase the visibility of the initiative, foster community, support event planning, and grow with the project.
The position is temporary until the end of 2026 (with the option of extension).
Your responsibilities
- Develop a communication strategy and implement it across web, social, newsletter, and internal platforms (Share-point)
- Translate AI research, teaching and internal staff stories into engaging content
- Build community and campaigns around UZH.ai activities
- Assist in organizing events and outreach
- Maintain and update UZH.ai website & social media
- Track impact metrics and continuously optimize communication efforts
- Coordinate with the central communications team and integrate activities into the overall UZH communication.
Your profile
- Degree in communications, media, marketing, or related field
- Initial professional experience in communications, PR, digital media, etc.
- Excellent writing/storytelling skills in English (and German; bilingual is a plus)
- Interest in AI, able to explain complex topics simply
- Structured, proactive, team-oriented
- Familiar with CMS, analytics, social media management and multimedia content production
