Context & mission
Médecins Sans Frontières is an independent, international medical and humanitarian organization that provides care to people in need, people affected by natural or man-made disasters, and victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and without regard to race, religion, creed or political affiliation (MSF Charter).
The MSF movement is built around 5 operational centers supported by 24 sections and offices worldwide. MSF Operational Center Geneva (MSF OCG) is one of these centers.
The “Pharma-6” project (2025-2027) works on 6 pillars such as: Staff and Capacity Building, Compliance to National Regulation, Quality Assurance management, Quality of Care and Patient Safety, Medical Supply Chain Management and Governance. The project aims to bring innovation and transformation at Pharmacy level in a comprehensive way.
The Pharmacy Advisor attached to the “Pharma-6” project, whose duration is of 2.5 years, works to achieve the related project deliverables by involving the related strategic stakeholders according to the established chronogram reaching the accurate completion.
On a minor percentage, the Pharmacy Advisor attached to the “Pharma-6” project could also work as front office for field requests.
Tasks & Responsibilities
As Pharmacy Advisor, working on “Pharma-6”:
Develop project deliverables to meet defined quality standards and project requirements.
Complete assigned project tasks to achieve project milestones within established deadlines.
Document project outcomes to provide accurate records and support project evaluation.
On a minor percentage, as Pharmacy Advisor (front desk):
Provide expert pharmaceutical technical advisory services to field teams and all partners to ensure evidence-based decision-making and compliance with pharmaceutical standards and best practices (e.g. GDSP, CCB, stock management, regulatory compliance, forecasting, tools, dispensing, etc)
Coordinate and support the development and implementation of quality management system to ensure pharmaceutical standards compliance and to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the pharmaceutical systems in place (e.g. SOPs, WIs, software, application, platform, databases, tools, LP/LMA, pharmacovigilance, Quality Alerts/Batch Recalls, etc)
Define and implement, in collaboration with HR and Ops, strategies for staff recruitment, capacity building and retention to strengthen competencies and ensure effective professional development of all staff involved in pharmaceutical operations (e.g. Recruitment criteria, perform training, CVs validation, etc)
Monitor and analyse pharmaceutical performance indicators to evaluate pharmaceutical operations and proactively identify risks mitigation measures and areas for improvement (e.g. CCB, KPIs, etc)

Terms of employment
Full-time position 100% (40h/week)
Ideal start date: September 2025
Fixed-term contract, end date: 31.12.2027
Working place: Geneva, Switzerland
Gross annual salary (for 100%): from CHF 102’180.- to CHF 116’484.- (salary commensurate with equivalent experience and internal salary grid)
Paid vacation: 25 days per year, prorate temporis, plus any Swiss public holidays falling within the contract period.
Pension plan: pension contribution covered 3/4 by MSF, 1/4 by staff member.
Relocation package if moving from a different country to Switzerland.
