Engineer - New Process Technology
Our client Philip Morris is looking for a Engineer - New Process Technology based in Neuchatel.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Drive New Process Technology projects and develop appropriate strategies to introduce these new material transformation meeting business needs. Compile and share/transfer substantiated knowledge on critical material transformations towards upscale and industrialization. Provide consultation and expertise to multiples areas of the organization on the developed technologies/processes/transformations and methods.
ACCOUNTABILITY 1
Achieve results by applying a high level of technical/scientific competence as a specialist in the design, development, control or/and the implementation of complex product and process quality practices where few known precedents exist and apply sound engineering solutions to meet the PMI technical and business needs.
ACCOUNTABILITY 2
Develop business justification, scope, and resource requirements for management reviews and decision making by acting as the knowledgeable resource for bringing projects to realization.
ACCOUNTABILITY 3
Lead all stages of assigned research / development projects and coordinate the technical/scientific activities of multi-disciplinary and/or cross-functional participants to meet the identified project scope and objectives required to ensure their successful closures.
ACCOUNTABILITY 4
Via utilization of a sound understanding of PMI's business needs, participate in regular management reviews and act as technology / engineering specialist and advisor where research / technical information may have a potential positive impact on meeting the strategic objectives of PMI.
ACCOUNTABILITY 5
Lead and direct internal project members (and external consultants & vendors when applicable) to ensure project scopes, budgets, schedules and timelines are developed & managed from project initiation until closure, and is compliant to all PMI standards.
ACCOUNTABILITY 6
Review, evaluate and manage large quantities of research/technical information and existing PMI documents. Perform knowledge management via data compilation, review and storage in line with Company, FDA or any other equivalent accreditation authority requirements.
ACCOUNTABILITY 7
Actively participate in strategies development and activity plans, which will build new process technology pipeline projects and capabilities for future anticipation.
ACCOUNTABILITY 8
Carry out all of the activities ensuring that PMI Compliance Policies, standards, and laws relating to these activities are fully respected, integrated and understood by stakeholders, and implement adequate processes to ensure the protection of information of a confidential nature.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Education
College/University??Engineering or Science Degree or Equivalent. Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering preferred. If the required degree is not present, the incumbent is having the proper knowledge and is able to fulfill the technical/scientific competencies for this position.
Work experience
Nice to have: 2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in tobacco industry or in a multinational environment.
Language Skills Level
Must have: Fluent in English in spoken and written form.
Nice to have: Some basics in French are welcome.
