Gapuma Switzerland AG is a dynamic and growing company specializing in commodities trading, part of a larger group headquartered in London. We are currently seeking a motivated accountant (50%) to join our team in Altendorf (SZ).
Responsibilities
As an Accountant at Gapuma Switzerland AG reporting to the Managing Director, your key responsibilities
will include:
- Managing day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable
- Preparing quarterly management reports, and annual financial statements, in close cooperation with our fiduciary
- Ensuring compliance with Swiss accounting standards and regulations
- Handling VAT declarations and other tax-related matters
- Monitoring and managing currency exchange transactions
- Monitoring and managing commodity futures transactions
- Supporting the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
- Collaborating with external auditors during audits
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting
- Proven experience in accounting, in Switzerland
- Strong knowledge of Swiss accounting standards and COO, as well as tax regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Fluency in English and German
