As Head of Taste and Sense Advocacy and Scientific Affairs (m/f/d) you will provide leadership for Givaudan's taste and sense advocacy and scientific affairs programs to support our plans on flavouring and food additives as natural colors, antioxidants, preservatives, etc. Furthermore you will lead global taste and sense advocacy and scientific affairs team of experts of seven employees. Additionally you will manage relationships with all partners and service providers.
This position can be based in any site in Europe with preference Kemptthal Switzerland. Furthermore you will report directly to the Global Head of Regulatory T&W and part of Leadership Team (LT).
You will:
- Lead the interactions related to Scientific positioning and regulatory affairs between Global Regulatory, regional teams, and other functions (commercial, research and development or operations)
- Develop and implement regulatory and data policies and procedures that ensure compliant business practices for new product development
- Support commercialization of new Givaudan technology with registration and approvals of new molecules and products
- Advise Givaudan management on new issues relevant to regulatory policy and issues affecting potential regulatory compliance or product safety
- Provide project management for appropriate resolution
- Directly manage global staff on functional projects to ensure delivery of strategic goals
- Develops talent within organization to ensure depth of talent and succession plan
- Provide leadership for Givaudan's regulatory advocacy programs to support our plans
- Proactive monitoring of new regulations or changes in regulations
You have:
- Advanced University / MS Degree / Ph. D in scientific field (toxicology, biochemistry, chemistry or related areas)
- 10 or more years of relevant industry experience
- Business Fluent in English; additional language skills are an advantage
- Recognized expertise in regulatory requirements in the area of global regulation associated to food (includes flavouring and nutrient supplemetation regualtions)
- Expertise managing teams in a complex matrix and global organization
- Experience working in a multicultural environment to tap colleagues and resources
- Expert in collaborating with partners at all levels, e.g. with authorities, research institutions at all levels, e.g. with authorities, research institutions
- Recognized technical expertise in a given area of science, product / food safety, and regulatory affairs
- Experience advanced technical contributions in the industry
- Experience of regularot and issues facing the industry
