To drive our continuous organic growth, we are constantly looking for highly qualified professionals. To strengthen our team in the Global IT, Security and Compliance (S&C) department, we are seeking an experienced Business Continuity Management (BCM) Expert, (f/m/d), 100%.

Reporting to the Head of Risk and Governance, you will lead and manage the organization's Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery (DR) capabilities. This role ensures our resilience strategies meet the highest standards of security, compliance, and operational continuity, with full alignment to ISO 27001, NIS2, and GxP regulations relevant to the pharmaceutical sector.

As part of the Global IT function and the Security and Compliance (S&C) department you will be working in a friendly and collaborative team, where we value diversity, initiative and a "can do" attitude.

Your tasks:

  • Own and operate the Business Continuity Management System (BCMS), ensuring alignment with ISO 22301, ISO 27001, NIS2, and GxP requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and own the IT Crisis Management Plan, ensuring clear roles, escalation paths, and response procedures for various incident scenarios.
  • Conduct and maintain Business Impact Assessments (BIA) for all critical business processes and systems, including those subject to GxP and regulatory oversight.
  • Develop and maintain Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery strategies, plans, and procedures in collaboration with IT, operations, and business units.
  • Ensure continuity planning accounts for regulated environments and supports GxP-compliant operations (e.g., lab systems, manufacturing, QA/QC, supply chain).
  • Facilitate crisis and recovery exercises, including GxP-relevant scenarios such as production halt, system downtime, or critical supplier disruption.
  • Provide guidance on compliance risks related to continuity and recovery for regulated systems.
  • Deliver awareness and training across the organization, embedding a culture of resilience with a strong understanding of both security and regulatory dependencies.
  • Track, report, and improve the effectiveness of the BCM program through testing, metrics, and audit findings.
  • Support internal and external audits, inspections, and assessments related to BCM, DR, GxP, and cybersecurity.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, or Risk Management roles, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 27001, ISO 22301, NIS2, and GxP.
  • Proven experience leading BIA, BCP/DR development, and crisis simulation exercises.
  • Familiarity with regulated IT systems, validation requirements (CSV), and critical GxP business functions.
  • Strong communication and project coordination skills across business and technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to drive decisions with data and KPIs.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CBCP, MBCI, ISO 22301/27001 Lead Implementer, DRI) are a strong advantage.
  • Experience with audits and regulatory inspections (e.g., FDA, EMA) is a plus.
  • Good command of English and German mandatory
