Operations Manager with Finance Expertise

Location: 6300 Zug

Reports to: CEO

With a small team in Zug as well as partner companies in Portugal, we are successfully selling our products around the globe. 

Your Mission

You will oversee day-to-day accounting operations alongside order management and fulfillment activities. You will also ensure sound financial management, including currency management, accurate reporting and operational control. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Fulfillment Oversight:

  • Manage the full order lifecycle — from order processing and payment tracking to coordinating delivery schedules with customers in cooperation with the factory in Portugal.     
  • Lead and support a small team of 2 (Administration & Fulfillment).      
  • Ensure accurate allocation and reconciliation of payments against outstanding invoices.
  • Monitor overdue receivables, analyze aging balances, and prepare monthly reports.     
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet demand without tying up unnecessary capital.     
  • Safeguard service continuity through effective backup planning and absence management.     
  • Support the CEO in HR-related administrative matters. 

2. Financial Controlling & Reporting:

  • Manage complex billing scenarios including staged prepayments, partial shipments, and volume adjustments.     
  • Plan and execute foreign currency account balancing.      
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports, delivering actionable insights to leadership.    
  • Monitor operational and purchasing costs and identify improvement or cost-saving opportunities.     
  • Support the CEO with pricing decisions and the annual budgeting process. 
Your Profile

Education & Experience: Formal training in accounting and advanced training in finance with several years of hands-on accounting and financial management experience in a Swiss SME engaged in international trade. Experience in preparing financial statements.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with ERP systems (Abacus is an advantage).
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).

Languages: Fluent English (written and spoken) with working proficiency in German (Swiss German preferred).
