SAP EWM Consultant (m/f/d) – Solution Design & Project Management Remote
Join our innovation-driven leading global pharmaceutical client undergoing a major supply chain and logistics transformation. This role offers the opportunity to actively shape warehouse and manufacturing design processes within a complex SAP EWM landscape. Working closely with senior design leads and cross-functional stakeholders, you will play a key role in structuring and delivering upcoming initiatives aligned with team workload and project timelines. Responsibilities
- Work closely with the LDC SCM Design Lead, LDC Manufacturing Design Lead, and the Logistics / Manufacturing Design Managers to structure and prioritize upcoming activities according to team workload.
- Act as Business Solution Manager for Logistics W&D own warehouse in close collaboration with Global Process Owners (GPO), Business Champions, Functional IT Experts, and the LDC Adopt counterpart.
- Take ownership of solution design and deliver operational project tasks within defined timelines.
- Deliver project outputs across conceptual design, build, and adopt phases, including:
Ensuring proper design and integration of SAP EWM solutions for own warehouses in upcoming LDC releases
Establishing or updating business standard operating procedures
Reviewing and adapting training materials and work instructions where required
Executing business screening and testing of IT solutions
Supporting and contributing to data migration activities
Aligning and integrating relevant processes and system solutions within Logistics W&D (e.g., commercial operations,
Intercompany Order Management, Direct Procurement)
Ensuring consistency between user requirements, functional specifications, and global/local processes
Contributing to master data preparation for screening, testing, and cutover
Supporting go-live activities for upcoming releases
Securing business reporting requirements together with the Reporting & Analytics team
- Verify and assess the existing SAP EWM core model for own warehouse together with the Global Business Process Owner and prepare improvement proposals.
- Follow up on cross-functional topics (e.g., staging with manufacturing) and propose aligned solution designs in coordination with global process owners.
- Support project execution across conceptual design, build, UAT testing & training, cutover, and hypercare phases as required.
- Project period: 2026-03-01 to 2026-09-26 with a possibility of further extension
Profile
- Hands-on experience and expertise in Supply Chain, working in logistics within the own warehouse area on the manufacturing side, ideally in the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven team leadership experience and strong expertise in SAP EWM, including solution design and warehouse integration
- Strong project management skills with the ability to structure activities and deliver according to defined timelines
- Experience acting as a Business Solution Manager or in a comparable role within logistics and warehouse environments
- Fast self-learner with a forward-thinking mindset and experience in integration with manufacturing execution processes and systems (e.g., MES systems)
- Strong understanding of integration points within Logistics W&D, including commercial operations, Intercompany Order Management, and Direct Procurement
- Experience in data migration, testing (UAT), training, cutover, and hypercare phases
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Global Process Owners, IT experts, and cross-functional business stakeholders
- Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style
- Ability to moderate workshops with business champions to gather and challenge requirements when necessary
- Fluent English language skills
