Materials Engineer 80 - 100 % (w/m/d)
How you can make a difference:
- Lead material selection process (evaluation, recommendation, and decision) in the different stages of the innovation process (discovery, development, and post-market).
- Develop and maintain the knowledge development through internal activities, external cooperations (research institutes, commercial partners, ...) and scouting.
- Develop and maintain the knowledge capture through systematically collecting and storing explicit and tacit knowledge.
- Develop and maintain knowledge distribution through internal training and exchanges.
- Technical responsibility and maintenance of material portfolio (plastic resins, compounds, masterbatches, additives).
- Support supply chain in evaluation of material suppliers and coordination of initial material sourcing.
- Collaboration with supply chain to collect and interpret documentation for raw materials and manage them in document management system.
- Collaboration with Regulatory Affairs and Biocompatibility in material compliance and biological evaluation related topics.
That's what you bring along:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in plastic engineering, material science, or mechanical engineering.
- Distinct expertise in material and product compliance for medical devices.
- Proven expertise in plastics material and processing of polymer materials.
- Outstanding leadership and social skills.
- Curious, creative and innovative mindset.
- Good knowledge in German and English (spoken and written)
