Housekeeper

The U.S. Embassy Bern is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of:

for one of its official residences in Bern.

• Cleans certain areas of the Residence.
• Maintains the household cleaning materials.
• Takes care of laundry duties, including washing, ironing, sewing, and repairing.
• Provides light cooking of meals and other food as requested by the resident.
• Assists in the service of food and beverages at functions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: Professional job-related vocational training.

Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar environment or in a customer services-oriented position (preferably in a hotel or restaurant).

Language skills: Good working Knowledge in English; basic knowledge in German.

Applicants must have the required work permit for employment in Switzerland.

Note: The selected candidate will be a personal employee of a diplomat, not an employee of the U.S. government.
