Finance Specialist (w/m)
The role
Van Lanschot Kempen is the leading Dutch private bank with Private Banking as its core and supporting Investment Management and Investment Banking services. With a family heritage and nearly 300 years of experience, the bank employs around 2,000 colleagues worldwide. In Switzerland, the group has a fully licensed Swiss bank for 30 years. It focuses on international wealth management, serving demanding clients with a team of around 43 employees.
To support the Finance team in Switzerland, we are looking for a motivated and eager-to-learn Finance Specialist as a permanent position. In this role, you will support the Finance function in tasks related to cash management, accounting, treasury, foreign exchange, regulatory reporting as well as securities back-office. You will also be able to contribute to the controlling and reporting agenda. This versatile position involves close collaboration with both back and front office as well as investment teams.
You will report to the Head of Finance within the Chief Financial Officer division. Your place of work will be Zurich.
Your tasks
- Processing and overseeing tasks related to cash management, accounting, treasury, foreign exchange, regulatory reporting, regulatory reporting as well as securities back-office
- Driving investigations in those fields independently
- Supporting projects in controlling and reporting
- Contributing to projects aimed at improving internal processes
- Growing into a deputy role for the Head of Finance
Your profile
- A minimum of three years of experience in the finance department of a smaller bank in Switzerland, which preferably has a focus on Private Banking
- Solid operational knowledge across cash management, accounting, treasury, foreign exchange, regulatory reporting and securities back-office. The more existing exposure to those processes the better
- Strong affinity for technology and experience with finance and treasury tools. Data enthusiast. Finnova knowledge as a preference
- Motivated, eager to learn, self-starter and willing to take on increasing responsibilities over time
- A team player with a positive personality and high integrity, who appreciates a dynamic and international environment
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); Dutch and or German language skills are a big plus
- Resident in Switzerland (Zurich area)
