As Corporate Buyer Raw Materials, you are responsible and accountable for ensuring the availability of the assigned raw materials in 13 plants, mainly based in Europe, of the group.

Aboutthe job

• The corporate Buyer Raw Materials is responsible for the strategic and operational procurement of key raw material categories at group level, including extending and optimizing the supplier base and establishing risk management measures.
• You lead the supplier negotiations independently in the search for the optimal balance between quality, availability, sustainability and total cost of ownership (TCO).
• You continuously analyze international raw material markets and seek for optimal buying timings to act promptly and decisively.
• Significant quantitative reporting is required involving monitoring and evaluation of volume and price developments to align with internal budgeting requirements.
• This role requires intensive collaboration with internal stakeholders including Production Planning, Quality, R&D, Controlling and ESG.
• The candidate reports to the Corporate Procurement Manager Raw Materials and is based in Baar, Switzerland

About you

To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:

• A relevant academic background with a Master’s degree in Economics or equivalent.
• Valid 5 year experience in strategic procurement preferably in an FMCG environment.
• You are knowledgeable certain Raw Material markets, familiar with the supplier landscape and commonly used IT software (e.g. SAP, BI, etc.)
• We are looking for an independent, highly disciplined and number literate professional.  
• Fluency in English. We consider proficiency in (Swiss) German and French as a strong plus.
• Next to strong negotiating skills, you also show a pro-active and entrepreneurial approach.
• Strong analytical skills, combined with accuracy and project management skills.

• This role requires occasional business travels to internal stakeholders, suppliers, conferences.
