Data Platform Architect (Azure and Snowflake)

We are hiring a Data Platform Architect to help design and enhance our enterprise-wide data platform, leveraging Microsoft Azure and Snowflake.

Job description:

Design a platform architecture that aligns with the overarching goals and strategic direction of the organization.
Drive architectural decision-making and foster consensus within the project team.
Oversee the operation and performance of the data platform, ensuring high availability and reliability through close coordination with the internal cloud infrastructure team.
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to gather data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Apply robust data governance practices and enforce security protocols to safeguard sensitive data.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to keep the platform modern and adaptable.
Contribute to the organization's architecture governance by engaging with architecture review boards and aligning platform design with enterprise standards.

Requirements:

5+ years' experience building and managing large cloud-based data platforms, ideally in finance or tech.
Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
Proven leadership in guiding teams and promoting best practices.
Strong grasp of DevOps and Infrastructure as Code.
Hands-on with Snowflake, Azure, ADF, Terraform, Python, and Azure DevOps.
Cloud migration experience (from on-prem) is a plus.
Excellent English communication; German is an advantage.
