Maintenance Technician - Cleanroom
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production and cleanroom equipment, including in-house developed automation systems and off-the-shelf machines.
  • Execute calibration activities and maintain the required documentation and records according to internal procedures.
  • Identify and fix minor mechanical or electrical issues; escalate complex problems to engineering when required.
  • Support equipment setup, installation and qualification during production changes or new implementations.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with cleanroom, safety, and quality standards (ISO 13485).
  • Collaborate closely with the production engineering and quality teams to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Support small facility-related maintenance and coordinate external service providers when needed.
  • Provide general support for IT and office-related requests, serving as the main contact for our external IT service provider.
  • Be comfortable handling tools, equipment, and basic IT tasks such as connecting devices, setting up workstations, or troubleshooting minor issues.
  • Contribute ideas for improving maintenance processes and equipment reliability.
Qualifications
  • Technical diploma (Berufslehre) in mechanical, electrical, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in maintenance or production support within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Hands-on, practical approach with strong mechanical and electrical understanding.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive team player who enjoys solving practical challenges and keeping things running smoothly.
  • Comfortable with technical tools and basic IT systems; able to collaborate effectively with an external IT service provider.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom standards and contamination control is an advantage.
  • Spoken and written English and German are required.
  • High interest in IT and software topics (MS Office, maintenance software).
Working condition
  • Work performed primarily in ISO Class 7/8 cleanroom environments.
  • Requires wearing appropriate cleanroom attire (gown, gloves, mask, etc.).
  • Full-time position based in Winterthur, Switzerland
