Responsibilities

Innovation & Technical Marketing (ITM)

  • Agile management of the front-end innovation process (idea generation, screening, portfolio management) to achieve proof-of-concept.

  • Lead Basket of Ideas (BoI) / Voice of Customers (VoC) or any other future programs together with Innovation Management & Partnership team ensuring the development funnel is always rich with strong and market worthy ideas.

  • Ensure sufficient evaluation of ideas in terms of technical / market analysis, competitive benchmarking, next best alternative, potential benefit for Omya, etc.

  • Define technical value propositions and create compelling technical marketing content (presentations, white papers, case studies, etc.).

  • Develop value propositions and marketing strategies to support product launches.

  • Support training programs for Sales/Marketing teams on product technical features, advantages and benefits that are well established and conducted.

  • Support to identify technical / commercial / business model gaps in the portfolio and propose innovation initiatives.

  • Accountable to ensure optimal ideas / pipeline conversion.

Leading without authority

  • Lead large cross-functional project teams and engage with stakeholders, to achieve established innovation goals.

  • Give transparency to project team members to foster engagement.

  • Ensure that knowledge is openly shared cross-functional, enabling team members to learn from each other.

  • Establish a performance mindset and a culture of growth.

Requirements
  • University Degree in engineering / chemistry or relevant subject area. Master's degree in economics / business / finance beneficial.

  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant industry experience. International work experience is beneficial.

  • Good understanding and knowledge of the Paper and Board, converting or fiber processing market.

  • Personality with a strong innovation mindset and a good feeling for unmet market needs and the market value of developed solutions.

  • Project Management skills with a proven track record of successful execution of complex projects.

  • Proven leadership and communication skills to effectively interact with project team members from a range of backgrounds and at all levels.

  • Good influencing and negotiation skills to achieve results.

  • Ability to take measured risks and develop new ideas aggressively.

  • Excellent command of both oral and written English is required. Additional language skills are beneficial.

  • Frequent international business travel up to 40% of the time required.
