Project: For our client, a large pharmaceutical company based in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a Test Engineer.

Background:
Our team, comprising approximately 240 employees at our Penzberg, Rotkreuz, Ludwigsburg, Sant Cugat, and Mannheim locations, is responsible for defining and designing comprehensive systems and solutions.
We work closely with business teams and both internal and external equipment partners to develop high-quality medical devices that effectively meet our customers' requirements and needs.
A key aspect of our work is the continuous integration of various components into a cohesive system and subsequently into the overall solution. This includes system verification and meticulous defect management using automated testing capabilities.

The ideal candidate has initial testing experience in the field of medical technology and proven programming skills, particularly in Python. Strong knowledge of system integration and root cause analysis is required. Fluency in German and English completes the profile.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Independent planning, execution, evaluation, and documentation of integration tests in the BSL-1 laboratory across various project phases
• Coordination of integration tests with internal interfaces and regular communication with relevant stakeholders regarding the progress of integration tests
• Responsibility for the progress of systems testing activities within the project according to the defined work packages
• Creation of the required technical documentation in English • Independent evaluation, interpretation, and presentation of test results according to regulatory and project-specific requirements
• Identification, minimization, tracking, and reporting of risks and issues according to process and/or project definitions
• Review of product requirements regarding testability and creation of test cases for the verification of these requirements
• Questioning existing laboratory processes, identifying optimization needs from a technical and scientific perspective, and subsequent independent implementation

Must-haves:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree, or several years of relevant experience
• Minimum 1 year of testing experience, ideally in the medical device environment
• Minimum 2 years of programming skills: further developing internal test frameworks and analysis tools with Git version control
• Minimum 2 years of Python expertise (e.g., asyncio), multithreading, UI with Model-View-Controller architecture
• Integration: integrating new hardware components into the existing test architecture and conducting pipeline tests in conjunction with the simulator
• Root cause analysis in collaboration with the development teams
• Fluent English and German skills
