Step Engineer

• Design, build, and continuously enhance an automated functional testing platform based on STEP by Exense, including test orchestration, enterprise-grade plugins, and seamless CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Own and evolve the company's load and performance testing platforms, ensuring reliable, scalable, and repeatable performance validation across multiple applications.
• Partner closely with application teams, DevOps, and SRE to embed testing, quality, and monitoring best practices throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong hands-on experience with synthetic monitoring tools and frameworks, such as Playwright or Selenium.
• Proven expertise in load and performance testing tools and methodologies, including k6 and/or JMeter.
• Demonstrated experience in automating tests and integrating test and monitoring results into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Solid, practical knowledge of STEP by Exense, both as a user and administrator.
• Proficiency in one or more scripting or programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Bash, or PowerShell for building automated tests and tooling.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, including microservices architectures, APIs, and backend performance characteristics.
