The Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz is an international boarding school with a history stretching back over 120 years, located near St. Moritz in the heart of the scenic Engadin valley (Switzerland). 220 boarders from around the world and 110 local day students study at our school for the Swiss Matura, the IGCSE, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP). From school year 2026/27 on we are looking for a

Starting: 10 August 2026

Workload: 70 - 100 %

• Teach German Language B across the International Section and the German Intensive Year (Grades 7 - 12), with the possibility of Language A teaching depending on experience and departmental needs
• Foster students' linguistic proficiency and intercultural understanding, encouraging curiosity, confidence, and authentic communication
• Design engaging lessons that develop all four language skills in line with IB philosophy and assessment standards
• Collaborate closely with colleagues to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities and contribute to a cohesive language curriculum across grades
• Participate actively in the school's academic and pastoral life, supporting the holistic development of every student

• Bachelor's degree in German or a related field, a Master's degree is required for teaching in Matura classes
• Recognised teaching qualification/certificate
• Experience teaching students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
• Teaching experience in an international school setting
• A motivated teacher with excellent pedagogical and classroom management skills
• Experience or knowledge of the IB Diploma Programme is a strong asset
• EU/EFTA citizenship (or eligibility for a valid Swiss work permit)
• A trustworthy, collaborative, and student-centred educator who enjoys working within an international school community
