Treasury Front Office Internship - 12 months
Location: Baar, Switzerland
Start date: March/April 2026 (upon agreement)
Duration: 12 months
Contract type: Internship, full-time (80-100%)
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Treasury Front Office team for a 12-month internship. This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to the operational and systems-related aspects of a multinational corporate treasury, and to work in close collaboration with colleagues across Group Treasury, Legal, Trade Finance, and external banking partners.
You will assist with the daily coordination and maintenance of core Treasury tools and documentation platforms and contribute to system improvements and reporting processes.
The main tasks and responsibilities include
Support the management of Glencore’s KYC documentation platform
Help coordinate and maintain records in the Credit Facility Management tool
Assist in the preparation and tracking of parent guarantees issued to financial institutions
Maintain document workflows and archives (e.g. Facility Agreements, Guarantees)
Support the Treasury intranet and help onboard new users to internal systems
Collaborate with internal teams and system developers to improve data quality and usability
Support the Collateral Management and Margining team with data maintenance, reconciliation tasks, and communication with external clearing and banking partners
Contribute to cross-functional Treasury projects with a focus on process optimisation, data integration, and automation initiatives
Qualifications and requirements
Completed commercial apprenticeship (KV) with Berufsmatura, completed bachelor’s degree, or currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field
Genuine interest in Treasury, Finance, and operational systems
Genuine curiosity for Artificial Intelligence and process automation, going beyond everyday tools like ChatGPT - familiarity with platforms such as n8n, Zapier, Make, Power Automate, LangChain, or other AI agent frameworks is a strong plus
Organised, hands-on, and motivated to learn
Solid working knowledge of MS Office; experience with SharePoint or document platforms is a plus
Fluent in English (our corporate language); other languages are an advantage
Swiss or EU passport holder, or valid Swiss work/residence permit
