We are looking for a new team member to join our Web Chapter in the Product & Tech department, starting on September 1st 2025 or by arrangement! Become part of our 20-strong team and help us provide our readers with the latest news on blick.ch, cash.ch, beobachter.ch, bilanz.ch and 9 other exciting brands.

As a member of one of our five Scrum teams, you will focus on a subset of our brands and, alongside your team, ensure their end-to-end success. Working with diverse tech stacks, including React and Astro, guarantees an engaging experience.

Frontend Engineer (a)*

Your tasks

  • Independent development of new features for our web applications.
  • Contributing your expertise to the definition and implementation of new microservices.
  • Supporting your team in finding solutions as a sparring partner.
  • Developing web applications with passion, sharing new insights and ideas in internal workshops/knowledge sharing.

Your profile

  • Completed IT education with a focus on application development or equivalent training with at least 2 years of experience in software development.
  • Very good knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), Next.js / React, HTML and CSS
  • Optional knowledge of Astro.
  • Knowledge of GraphQL, Styled Components, Tailwind, Playwright is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and good German.

Recruiting process
  • If your profile matches, the process can be swift, as we aim to finalize the contract within a short timeframe.
  • After reviewing your documents, we will schedule an initial phone call to clarify details and arrange the next steps.
  • Next, you'll have a video call where we'll get to know each other and discuss some technical questions (approximately 45 to 60 minutes).
  • After that, you'll have the opportunity to meet the team on-site and have an exchange with our CTO and/or our Head of Engineering.
  • Finally, if everything goes well, we will extend a contract offer.
