Job description:

HR Functional Support Specialist

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Functional Support Specialist to support the rollout and enhancement of key HR systems and processes. This role is part of a broader HR modernization programme focused on implementing and improving solutions such as Workday (Core HCM, Time Tracking, Absence, Compensation, Talent Management) and ServiceNow for HR.

As a key member of the HR Modernization team, you'll work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to support system rollouts, test functionalities, assist with training materials, and ensure a smooth transition for end-users. Your focus will be to help deliver intuitive, high-quality HR tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of Time Tracking, Absence, and future Payroll systems.
  • Gather and document requirements, assist in creating functional specs.
  • Assist with data gathering, testing, training, and user support.
  • Help resolve system issues during implementation and post-launch (Hypercare).
  • Create and deliver user-friendly training and documentation.
  • Collaborate across teams to improve existing processes and HR data flow.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and user feedback integration.
  • Maintain system accuracy and assist with data cleansing and testing.
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years' experience in an HR or HRIS environment.
  • Solid understanding of HR processes and sensitive data handling.
  • Experience with Workday (especially Time & Absence) or ServiceNow is a big plus.
  • Strong skills in testing, training delivery, and end-user support.
  • Proficiency with tools like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • A customer-focused, detail-oriented approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
  • Experience with Payroll implementation projects.
  • Hands-on involvement in Workday or ServiceNow rollouts.
  • Knowledge of GDPR, compliance, or HR legal frameworks.
  • Broad HR generalist experience across recruitment, talent, performance, or compensation.

  • Location: Basel ( 50% on-site, with 20 days remote working)
