Travel Retail Global Finance Director

In this role you will partner with the VP Travel Retail and CFO to drive financial strategy and decision-making across pricing, investments, and trade terms for Travel Retail region. You will oversee market analysis, financial planning, and internal controls. You will lead the Travel Retail Controlling and Accounting teams, ensuring alignment with global finance priorities.

How you will create a beautiful impact:

  • Forecasting and Annual Business Planning

  • Define and shape finance strategy and priorities for Travel Retail region (La Prairie and Chantecaille), in alignment with global CFO and VP Travel Retail.

  • Manage forecasting cycles and Annual Business Plan in close cooperation with the TR VP and Group Controlling.

  • Oversee key financial KPIs, investment steering (Marketing, BA, GE), stock level monitoring, and ROI evaluations.

  • Prepare and present financial submissions in line with the corporate reporting calendar

  • Regional Controlling & Reporting
  • Deliver timely and consolidated regional financial reports, proactively highlighting variances against Target, proposing corrective actions.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis on monthly Retail and Net Sales, SOI deviations, market performance, and preparation of business reviews including risks and opportunities assessments.

  • Ensure proper internal controls and accounting entries including accruals and provisions.

  • Responsible for TR Controlling cost centre.

  • HQ Accounting & Treasury

  • Ensure efficient, accurate P2P and O2C accounting processes with support from the Accounting and Treasury Manager.

  • Drive digitalization, process improvement initiatives and support ad-hoc projects.

  • Manage FX hedging for HQ entities in coordination with BDF Treasury.

  • Support external and internal audit processes.

  • Safeguard liquidity and ensure effective cash flow, dividend distribution, and treasury operations across La Prairie Group companies.

  • Business Partnering / People management

  • Lead a team of 4 direct and several indirect reports, fostering collaboration and development.

  • Support financial decisions and approve business cases including door openings, operator agreements, trade terms, pricing, and major investments

  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and strategic support to the VP of Travel Retail.

  • Build engagement and alignment within the wider finance function.

What you need to have to be our next audacious and creative talent:

  • Degree in business administration specialised in Finance & Controlling

  • Min 8-10 years’ work experience in a relevant controller position

  • Very good English language skills.

  • Analytical skills, flexibility, good sense of materiality

  • Entrepreneurial personality with a sound understanding of a regional business structure

  • Good feel and understanding for FMCG

  • A sound knowledge of MS Office, SAP CO and BI should complete the profile

  • Previous experience in managing a team of people (direct and indirect)
