Contract Manager

BASF Intertrade AG is active in the trading of petroleum, petrochemical and related products. As the global commodity trading & hedging organization of BASF Group, BASF Intertrade AG is a major player in the global raw materials markets.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contract Manager to support our dynamic Legal Team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-level contracts and play a key part in ongoing legal and commercial projects.

Your Responsibilities:

• Assist in drafting and proofreading contractual documents and legal correspondence, including processing amendments

• Support the Legal Team in managing legal processes and documentation efficiently

• Draft, analyse, interpret, and negotiate sophisticated agreements with internal and external business partners

• Contribute to specific legal and commercial projects

We are looking for:

• Preferably English qualified lawyer with professional experience and expertise in common law as well as maritime law

• Strong commercial understanding, particularly in relation to legal requirements for international trade and operations

• Guarantor for professional contract handling and filing; demonstrates high levels of accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of German is a plus

• Team player with strong interpersonal skills

• Flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
