Project Manager Medical Statistics (ID1758)

Main Responsibilities

Statistical analysis of clinical data:

  • Provide methodological and statistical support for clinical studies throughout all study phases, including review of new research ideas, study protocols, final study reports, and requests for ad-hoc analyses
  • Guide stakeholders in defining their data analysis objectives and conduct appropriate sample size calculations 
  • Develop statistical analysis plans (SAPs) and execute statistical analyses in a correct and timely manner
  • Develop, implement and optimize codes / programming for statistical analysis according to SAPs as well as creation of tables, listings and figures (TLFs)
  • Provide statistical reports and support publications of scientific results within AO ITC (peer-reviewed publications, presentation at international meetings)

Statistical support for AO ITC:

  • Provide statistical consultancy, including model and data interpretation, for Project Managers and Principal Investigators
  • Simplify and translate complex statistical analyses for non-technical stakeholders through visualizations and clear summaries
  • Provide statistical analysis services for non-clinical research projects

Quality Management and Process Improvement:

  • Support the development and maintenance of quality standards and SOPs related to medical statistics
  • Create, validate and manage statistical codes (macros) for standardized and efficient data presentation
Main Requirements
  • MSc degree in Statistics or closely related field combined with a minor degree in a biomedical discipline
  • Advanced SAS programming skills, with experience in analyzing large, complex clinical datasets
  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts and experience applying them in real-world research or clinical data contexts
  • Numerical and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and reliability
  • Flexibility and customer-focused mindset
  • Collaborative and team-oriented with the ability to work cross-functionally 
  • Experience in writing and reviewing scientific publications is an asset
  • Strong oral communication skills in English, German skills are an asset
