Interim Data Governance Lead (all, 80-100%) - temporary from April 2026 until January 2027
In this role you are responsible for all aspects of defining and operating the data governance policies and supporting the multiple data domains, as well as responsible for implementing the data governance program vision, promoting the role of governance and enforcing policy, while following data governance best practices. You will build and maintain relationships with subject matter experts and data stakeholders across all departments globally to assess the effectiveness of existing governance practices and identify emerging data governance risks.

  • Lead further development of Global Master Data Management for all divisions, including processes, tools and Data Migration projects
  • Steer and guide the people responsible for master data in all areas of the organization
  • Define, establish and further develop the data governance structure and organization (roles and responsibilities)
  • Develop solution concepts for master data management
  • Collaborate on special tasks and projects in the context of Enterprise architecture and compliance
  • Hold co-responsibility for creating, managing and executing data migration plans, reporting the status in regular reviews and updates together with the Enterprise Architect, IT Solution Architect and all involved functions
  • Monitor and enforce security, privacy, compliance policies and regulations in accordance with the know-how of subject matter experts and data stakeholders across departments
  • Ensure compliance with internal requirements and directives within the framework of cloud governance, in particular considering the Information Security Act, Data Protection Act and Architecture, Technology and process guidelines
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between different teams and stakeholders related to Data Governance and Data Migration
Play to your strengths
  • Further education in economics, financial management, operations, supply chain management (or equivalent)
  • Min. 5 years of experience in an operational business role (Sales, Supply Chain, Finance) as well as min. 2 years in Master Data Governance or Management
  • Broad understanding of the E2E processes in an omnichannel environment in textile or fashion industry
  • Exceptional analytical skills and ability to manage complex business situations with competing targets
  • Excellent team player with the ability to partner up, influence others and achieve joint view on business risk and opportunities
  • Providing clarity, fact-based decision making, paired with endurance and stamina ensuring Global Data consistency and quality
  • Ability to break down complex problems, identify supply chain risk to formulate solution alternatives and implement them along the Value Chain
  • Strong practical skills with PLM, ERP, CRM, BI, and advanced analytics applications
  • Fluent in English, other languages are a plus
