B&A Commercial is managing B&A's Alumina, Hydrate and Bauxite global portfolio. The team is located in 4 sites, (1) Tolochenaz, Switzerland, (2) Singapore, (3) Belem, Brazil and (4) Beijing, China. The core team is based in Switzerland, where Traders, Supply Chain Analysts and Finance are located.

The B&A Commercial Trading Finance and Product Risk Controller's overall responsibility covers the finance area within Commercial B&A (Swiss, Norwegian and Chinese entities) with focus on trading position, price exposure and mark-to-market analyses and reporting.

What you will be doing

Prepare regular trading position including price exposure and mark-to-market reporting. Perform and oversee IFRS9 derivate accounting entries for B&A Commercials' entities, ensuring compliance with accounting standard. Analyze the need for fair value accounting needs in specific trades. Prepare deviation analysis and explanations week-on-week;

Support Finance Manager in financial valuation analysis of investment and commercial proposals;

Assist in the establishment of statutory accounts of HAISA legal entity and assist in the preparation of HAISA's quarterly Board of Directors meetings;

Assist Commercial Finance team in monthly and quarterly closing process with specific tasks according to checklist. Assist Finance Manager and Financial Controller with specific tasks, such as Balance Sheet reconciliation, ICFR controls and overall HFM and SAP data quality;

Perform standard and ad-hoc Financial Analysis as requested by the organization, with focus in the areas of realized prices and margins, exposures and deviation analysis. Close monitoring of working capital through analysis of variations;

Closely interact with Alumina and Bauxite Marketing (commercial and supply chain analysts) to improve the flow ensuring transaction/contract is appropriately reflected in CTS (Commodity Trading System).

What will make you successful in this role?

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent;
  • Finance background in commodity trading and derivative tools;
  • Significant experience in Accounting and Financial Analysis;Solid accounting and finance knowledge, as well as experience in derivative financial products and accounting treatment thereof;
  • At ease with digital applications and solutions (ERP, data analytics & Microsoft office tools including Power BI);Fluent in English, French is a plus.
