Trainee Device Excellence

18 months, 4 stages including a permanent employment contract from the start of the program!

The Device Excellence track focuses on innovation and technical excellence. Through targeted rotations in research, development, quality, and manufacturing-related functions, you will build a deep understanding of how innovative medical devices are designed, developed, validated, and transferred into production. During the program, you will rotate through the following key areas:

Product Development – supporting the planning and execution of product development projects
Innovation – contributing to innovation projects, early-phase concepts, and the exploration of new technologies
International Manufacturing – gaining hands-on insights into global manufacturing environments (Schwerin/Germany)
QA Design – contribute to ensuring and monitoring quality requirements throughout the development lifecycle

Your main tasks
  • Support R&D and innovation projects across different phases of the product lifecycle
  • Contribute to the development, testing, and validation of medical device solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams from development, quality, and manufacturing
  • Prepare technical documentation, analyses, and presentations for project teams and management
  • Actively contribute ideas to foster innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence
Your profile
  • Above-average Master’s degree in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
  • Strong interest in medical devices, product development, and innovation-driven environments
  • First practical experience in R&D, innovation projects, quality, or manufacturing is an advantage
  • Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented way of working
  • Curiosity, creativity, and a high willingness to learn
  • Very good command of English; German or additional languages are a plus
  • Willingness to work in international and interdisciplinary teams
