Process Engineer
For our client, an international company based in Visp, we are looking for a
Plant Engineer - Utilities.
The Process Engineer is responsible for the seamless planning, realization, and optimization of chemical and biological production facilities. This role serves as a technical backbone for plant efficiency, ensuring that all modifications and maintenance activities meet the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced industrial environment.
Start: As soon as possible / By arrangement
Duration: 1 year (with potential for extension)
Workplace: Visp (100% on-site; no home office)

Project Engineering: Planning and implementing partial and small-scale projects, including process engineering calculations and continuous plant optimizations.
Feasibility & Design: Conducting feasibility studies for new installations or the modification of existing plants, including cost estimation, scheduling, and functional assessments.
Operational Support: Executing risk analyses, operational trials, and plant conversions; providing technical deputies and services within the department.
Maintenance Management: Ensuring expert and economical maintenance to guarantee high plant availability while liaising with regulatory authorities.
SAP Utilization: Managing work orders/order processing, performing technical-commercial evaluations, and handling capacity planning to optimize plant and personnel utilization.
Financial Oversight: Collaborating on the monitoring and adherence to budgets for maintenance, modifications, and investments within the assigned area.
Documentation & GMP: Updating and verifying vital plant documentation (P&IDs, flow charts, zone/installation plans, and parts lists) in compliance with strict GMP change control processes.
Training & Safety: Supporting the training of plant operators and workshop personnel regarding process knowledge, safety, hygiene, environment, and quality standards (cGMP).
Education: University degree (Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering), University of Applied Sciences (FH), or Technical College (HF).
Experience: Professional experience is required, ideally within a Biotech or Pharmaceutical production environment.
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of GMP guidelines. Experience with COMOS (Plant Engineering Software) and SAP is a significant advantage.
Communication & Teamwork: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently while remaining a flexible and collaborative team player.
Soft Skills: A structured, focused, and highly organized work style with a solution-oriented mindset and an openness to innovative ideas.
Languages: Fluent German and Good English (both written and spoken) are required for this position.
