Our client is a well-established international bank in Zurich.

On behalf of our client, Swisslinx is looking for a motivated and hands-on Junior Credit Risk Officer to join the Risk Control department be responsible for a portfolio of international corporate clients and financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the branch's credit portfolio, covering international corporate clients and financial institutions with varying levels of risk exposure and complexity.
  • Assess new credit applications, including evaluation of credit terms and structures, counterparty financial performance, business models, and industry and macroeconomic conditions.
  • Prepare high-quality credit analysis reports in line with internal credit policies and present findings to the Credit Review Committee.
  • Monitor credit exposures and conduct regular reviews and renewals of credit limits and ratings in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain and operate the branch's credit risk management systems.
  • Support the team on market and operational risk topics, as well as internal/external reporting and audit processes.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications (e.g. CFA, FRM) are a plus.
  • At least 1 year of experience in credit analysis of corporates or financial institutions, ideally within a commercial banking environment.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, including ratio and cash flow analysis, as well as accounting standards.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Well-organized with the ability to manage priorities and work under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
  • Swiss / EU citizenship or an existing Swiss work permit.
