In your role as an Senior Payroll Specialist, you ensure the accurate, timely and legally compliant payroll processing for our employees and act as the main point of contact for all payroll, social insurance and absence-related matters. You will have a direct impact on the employee experience by ensuring reliability, data quality and operational excellence across the entire payroll cycle. With your attention to detail, analytical mindset and strong service orientation, you play a key role in maintaining data quality, enhancing our HR processes and optimising our digital systems and interfaces. You support HR, Finance and managers alike through your expertise and proactive approach. You collaborate closely with HRBP/HRM and Finance and contribute actively to process improvements and digitalisation initiatives.
- Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process, including changes, variable salary components and final settlements
- Prepare salary statements and oversee withholding tax processing via ELM, , ensuring full compliance
- Handle sickness and accident cases, including coordination of daily allowance processes (UKA Solutions)
- Ensure monthly and annual reconciliations of all social insurance contributions
- Advise employees and managers on payroll, insurance and absence-related questions
- Prepare and further develop HR and payroll reports and perform data analyses for decision support
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance in SAP HCM and SuccessFactors and support internal and external audits
- Identify opportunities to optimise payroll and HR processes and contribute to HR and digitalisation projects
- Completed commercial apprenticeship; HR or Social Insurance Specialist (FA), CAS Payroll Expert is an advantage
- Several years of payroll experience in a mid-sized or large company
- Very good knowledge of SAP HCM; experience with SuccessFactors is an advantage
- Strong skills in Excel and familiarity with ELM, interface handling and UKA Solutions is beneficial
- Excellent German and good English skills, both written and spoken
- Accurate, efficient and independent working style
- Strong analytical and cross-functional thinking as well as high organisational skills
- A team player with a service-oriented mindset, reliability and discretion
