AUFGABENBESCHREIBUNG

In this Pharmacoepidemiologist role, you will support epidemiology activities within Global Safety & Risk Management, contributing to both simple and complex Real World Data (RWD) studies. You will design, conduct, analyse and interpret epidemiological research using claims databases, EHRs, registries and literature sources. This includes scientific oversight of non-interventional studies and close collaboration with clinical safety scientists to ensure the application of rigorous quantitative methodologies.

You independently perform secondary database analyses, develop research protocols and statistical analysis plans, and apply advanced analytical methods such as regression or propensity score matching. You design and maintain efficient R, Python or SQL programs, create clear visualisations using tools like R Shiny or RMarkdown, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives that advance methodological innovation.

This position is a 9-month maternity cover.


ERFORDERLICHES PROFIL

Your Profile

  • A degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Outcomes Research, Health Economics or a related scientific field; MSc or PhD in Epidemiology preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Real World Data, non-interventional study design and analysis
  • Strong understanding of epidemiological study designs and pharmacoepidemiologic strategies
  • Proficient in R, Python, SQL, with experience in developing analytical workflows
  • Familiarity with medical dictionaries such as MedDRA, SNOMED, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS
