Business Risk Management Officer - International Family Office - Vaduz (m/w/d), 100%
On behalf of our client, a leading international family office and one of the top providers of services for complex trust structures, we are seeking a Business Risk Management Officer (100%) to join their team in Vaduz. The Business Risk Management Officer (BRMO) will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive business risk management framework across the organization. The role offers the unique opportunity to build the risk strategy and control framework from the ground up, covering the following key areas: Finance & Accounting, Payments & Operations, Investment Administration, Technology, Compliance, Senior Management & Board.
Please note that applicants from outside Switzerland and Liechtenstein will not be considered. This position does not offer international relocation.
- Develop and implement a company-wide risk management and control framework, ensuring alignment with SOX requirements
- Establish risk strategy, governance principles, and internal policies to embed risk awareness across the organization
- Collaborate with leadership to define risk appetite and ensure operational alignment
- Conduct initial and periodic assessments of the organization’s risk landscape to identify emerging internal and external risks

- Design and maintain internal control processes to manage operational and business risks effectively
- Partner with business units to strengthen process integrity and mitigate control weaknesses
- Support incident and crisis management, including root cause analysis and remediation planning
- Develop and maintain the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and related testing protocols
- Promote risk awareness across teams through targeted training programs and internal communications
- Prepare and present risk reports, updates, and dashboards for senior management and the Board
- Ensure clear communication and transparency of key risks, mitigation actions, and control performance across the organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CRMA, CIA, CISA) are an advantage
- Solid experience in risk management, internal controls, or process design, ideally within a consulting or corporate risk function
- Knowledge of SOX, FINMA, and related regulatory environments
- Proven ability to design and implement risk control frameworks and policies
- Hands-on, operational mindset with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
- Discreet, reliable, and detail-oriented, with sound judgment and integrity
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, international environment
- A highly professional and international working environment with flat hierarchies
- Exposure to complex, challenging, and meaningful tasks with global impact
- Opportunity to work closely with senior professionals in one of the most respected family offices worldwide
- A culture of excellence, integrity, and collaboration
- The chance to establish yourself in a leading organization and develop personally and professionally
