Material Supply Specialist (m/f/d)

Position:
The incumbent is responsible for the availability planning of NTM (non-tobacco materials). They ensure that the relevant products are available in the right quantity at the right place on the required date. In doing so, they rely on information from all upstream and downstream processes and are in close contact with the responsible members of the Central NTM and Global Procurement in Geneva, NTM purchasing and the production department in Dagmersellen. 

Responsibilities:
As the Material Supply Specialist, you will…

  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production and operations and comply with the set NTM inventory targets according to ASP
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials and track shipments, resolve issues, and maintain strong vendor relationships
  • Participate in lean manufacturing and supply chain improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
  • Analyze production schedules and forecasts to plan material requirements accurately
  • Monitor material costs and work with procurement to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
  • Support the improvement of the processes within the department, considering ISO, Safety, EHS Projects and Policies & Procedures, Code of Conduct

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Planning/Material Planning or similar
  • First experience in the area of Supply Chain Planning in a multinational company
  • Fluency in English, German is a plus
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office package, advanced in Excel, SAP, Macro and Power BI are an advantage
