Lead Expeditor

On behalf of our client, a leading international organisation operating within a highly regulated, project-driven industrial environment, Swisslinx is seeking an experienced Lead Expeditor to join their team on a 12 month contract basis starting in June.

Job description:
  • Monitor and maintain material and package reporting within project procurement systems
  • Ensure on-time delivery (OTD) performance for assigned packages, in line with defined KPIs
  • Track and follow up on supplier progress, including timely receipt of Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs)
  • Proactively identify and escalate potential delays or risks to stakeholders
  • Coordinate expediting activities with internal teams and external partners
  • Prepare and share weekly expediting updates and intervention plans
  • Support order management processes, including expediting-related invoice handling
  • Contribute to departmental reporting and performance tracking (MIS reporting)
About the customer:

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of materials and services across multiple project packages. You will act as a key link between suppliers, procurement, and project stakeholders, ensuring that all expediting activities are executed efficiently and in line with project timelines.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in expediting, supply chain, procurement, or project coordination
  • Previous experience in CAPEX, construction, engineering, or industrial project environments is highly desirable
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with reporting, data analysis, and KPI tracking is an advantage
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Compensation benefits:

Please note interviews would be conducted via video call, however the role is based 100% in Switzerland.
